Description
Located on a hillside outside the city of Limassol.
The house is L-shaped, allowing sea views and light to penetrate through the large curtain walls. On the opposite side, on the street section, the openings are fewer to maintain privacy.
At the entrance level is the office, the guest room and the parking area. The ground floor is occupied by the common areas, which have direct access to the courtyard. The courtyard is divided into two parts by the placement of the swimming pool. The two parts of the courtyard are connected either through the curved corridor or through concrete cubic steps located at the western end of the pool. The third level is occupied by the bedrooms.
The curved corridor is expressed outside the house with a concrete wall. The wooden wall of the master-bedroom, the curtain wall and the curved verandas are projected in front of the concrete wall.
The volume parallel to the road is protected by a traditional Cypriot stone wall on the western and northern boundary. At the bedroom level, privacy is achieved with a wooden wall.
The cooper roof of this volume is V-shaped, set back from the stone wall, creating a narrow zone of openings that allow light to enter the interior.
The system of balconies, verandas and lampshades is used to protect the house from the intense Cypriot solar radiation.
